부산아이파크와 전남드래곤즈가 5월 23일(일) 오후 4시 광양축구전용구장에서 올 시즌 두 번째 맞대결을 펼친다.

부산과 전남은 지난 8라운드에서 90분간 팽팽한 경기 끝에 후반 43분 상대 역습에 1골을 내주며 아쉬운 패배를 당한 바 있다. 부산은 전후반 내내 60%의 점유율을 가져가며 전남을 압박했다. 슈팅(11:5)과 유효슈팅(5:2), 성공 패스 횟수(438:208)도 2배 이상을 기록하며 경기를 지배했다.

페레즈 감독도 경기가 끝난 후 “상대가 수비적으로 나왔지만 우리 선수들이 공격 찬스를 많이 만들었다. 후반전 퇴장으로 수적으로 열세가 있었음에도 불구하고 분명히 상대보다 나은 축구를 했다.”라고 선수들을 격려하며 다음 전남전 승리를 다짐했다.

부산은 최근 경기에서 대전하나시티즌을 상대로 4:1 대승을 거두며 자신감을 찾았다. 데뷔골과 멀티골을 동시에 성공시킨 황준호의 두 골은 이상헌의 프리킥과 드로젝의 코너킥에서 나왔다. 김진규와 안병준의 골은 최준의 미사일 크로스와 정확한 스로인에서 시작된 득점이 돋보인 장면이었다. 부산은 이와 같은 세트피스와 패스 플레이를 보여주며 점점 부산의 색깔을 찾아가는 모습을 보였다. 

지난 주말 충남아산과의 경기가 연기되며 1주일의 추가 휴식을 취한 부산은 전남을 맞아 아쉬운 패배를 갚아주겠다는 계획이다. 부산은 현재 3위 대전과의 승점 차가 2점 밖에 나지 않기 때문에 전남전 승리를 통해 최대 3위까지 올라갈 수 있는 기회이다.
 

부산과 전남은 이번 라운드에 앞서 경기 포스터를 준비했다. 전남은 전경준 감독, 페레즈 감독을 내세워 ‘승리가 곧 전술이다’라는 메시지를 전달했고 이에 맞서 부산은 지난 경기 전경준 감독의 언급에 대응하며 주장 김진규가 어떤 말 대신 승리로 보여주겠다는 무언의 의미를 담았다.

Busan IPARK and Jeonnam Dragons will face off for the second time this season at the Gwangyang Football Stadium at 4 p.m. on May 23 (Sun).

Busan suffered a disappointing defeat in the 8th round. They conceded a goal in 43 minutes of the second half after a 90-minute tight game. Busan pressed Jeonnam really well with taking 60% of the ball possession during the whole game. Busan also dominated the statistics with more than double shooting (11:5), shot on target (5:2), and accurate passes (438:208).

After finishing the game, Head Coach Perez commented that "The opponent played defensive, but our players made a lot of attack chances. Despite being outnumbered in the second half due to a red card, we certainly played better than our opponent." He encouraged the players, and he said that he will win the next match against Jeonnam.

Busan recently gained confidence by winning a 4:1 victory over Daejeon Hana Citizen. Hwang Joonho's two goals, which made his debut goal and multi-goal at the same time, came from Lee Sanghun's free-kick and Drozdek's corner kick. Kim Jingyu's goal was completed with Choi Jun's missile-like cross, and Ahn Byungjoon's goal started from Choi Jun's accurate throw-in. Busan gradually finds their color showing by such set-pieces and passing plays.

Busan took an additional week off after the game against Asan was postponed last weekend, so the team plans to pay back its disappointing defeat to Jeonam. Since Busan currently has only two points difference from third-place Daejeon, it is an opportunity to reach the top three by winning the match against Jeonnam. Busan and Jeonnam prepared a poster for the match ahead of this round. Jeonnam's head coach Jeon Gyungjun delivered a message to head coach Perez that "winning is a tactic." In response, Busan responded to coach Jeon Kyungjoon's words from the last game, so a poster is that Busan's captain Kim Jingyu would show something with a victory instead of a word.

Meanwhile, tickets for the home game against Bucheon FC 1995, which will be held at 16:00 on May 29 (Saturday), can be pre-booked only for ticket book buyers from 11:00 today (20th).
