골키퍼 구상민이 22개월의 군 복무기간을 마치고 양주 시민축구단에서 지난 4월 9일 자로 전역해 부산아이파크에 합류했다. 부산 선수단이 지난주 3연전 원정 경기를 치르며 수도권에 머무는 동안 구상민은 팀에 합류해 따로 훈련을 시작했다.

구상민은 2014년 내셔널리그 울산 현대미포조선 돌고래로 입단해 다음 해 우승까지 거머쥐며 2년 연속 베스트 11과 골키퍼로서 2번째로 최우수선수로 선정되는 등 최고의 활약을 했다. 특히 김해시청과의 경기에서 100m 거리에서 골킥으로 득점을 성공시키며 국내 최장거리 득점으로 화제를 모았다.

2016년 부산에 입단해 첫 프로 도전을 한 구상민은 4시즌 동안 71경기 61실점을 기록하며 부산의 골문을 지키는 든든한 수문장으로 성장했다. 2017년 FA컵 FC서울과의 16강전에서는 승부차기까지 가는 접전 끝에 선방으로 8-7 승리를 이끌며 그해 준우승을 거머쥐는데 일조했다.

구상민의 합류로 기존 최필수-안준수-진필립의 골키퍼 라인이 더욱 강화될 예정이다. 최필수는 구상민의 공백으로 2019년 여름 부산에 합류해 지난 경남전을 포함해 그의 별명인 '선방필수 최필수'처럼 매 경기 선방쇼를 펼치고 있다. 안준수는 올림픽 국가대표 골키퍼로서 올해 부산으로 이적해 선의의 경쟁 중이다. 막내 진필립 또한 입단 첫해에 좋은 선수들과 훈련하며 출전 기회를 엿보고 있다.

다시 1번을 달게 된 구상민은 "팀 분위기가 이전보다 확실히 많이 젊어진 것 같다. 빠르게 선수단에 녹아들어 열심히 하면 기회가 올 것이라고 생각한다."라며 팬들에게 "기다려주셔서 감사하고 다시 돌아온 만큼 초심을 가지고 운동장에서 좋은 모습을 보여주겠다"라는 각오를 밝혔다.

GoalKeeper Sangmin Koo has joined Busan IPARK on April 9 from Yangju Citizens' Football Team after completing his 22-month military service. While the Busan squad stayed in Seoul playing three consecutive away games last week, Sangmin Koo joined the team and began training separately.

Sangmin Koo played the National League side Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Chosun Dolphin in 2014 and won the championship the following year, being named the best 11th player in a row and the second-best goalkeeper. In particular, he scored with a goal kick from a distance of 100 meters in a match against Gimhae City Hall, drawing attention to the longest score in Korea.

He joined Busan IPARK in 2016 as his first professional career and he conceded 61 goals in 71 matches within 4 seasons. According to his following performance, he became a strong GK in the squad. In the 2017 FA Cup round of 16 against FC Seoul, he led the team to an 8-7 victory after a close game to the penalty shoot-out, helping them win the runner-up that year.

The joining of Sangmin Koo will further strengthen the existing goalkeeper lineup of Choi Pilsoo, Ahn Junsoo, and Jin Phillip. Choi Pil-soo joined Busan in the summer of 2019 due to Sangmin Koo's absence and is performing a good defense every game, including the last Gyeongnam match like his nickname which is 'Must defense Pilsu Choi Pilsoo'. Ahn Joonsoo has moved to Busan this year as an Olympic goalkeeper and is competing with others. The youngest, Jin Philippe, is also training with good players in his first year of joining the club, looking for a chance to play.

Sangmin Koo received number 1 again said that "I think the team's atmosphere is much younger than it used to be. "I think if I work hard and I will have a chance to get into the squad quickly".
